       1.  _I_n_t_r_o_d_u_c_t_i_o_n

       NetLS (Network License System) controls the execution of
       licensed software.  A program licensed with NetLS requests a
       license when invoked; if none is available, the program does
       not execute.  A nodelocked license is a coded text string
       which can be installed to enable a target host to run a
       licensed application.

       The license_eoe product contains tools which support the
       installation and management of nodelocked licenses.  It
       includes a graphical tool for installing and managing
       nodelocked licenses and a utility program used by some SGI
       applications to install nodelocked licenses automatically.
       Systems running licensed applications should install this
       product.

       For information on installing network licenses, also known
       as floating licenses, please see the release notes for

       license_eoe consists of:

          +o _L_i_c_e_n_s_e_M_a_n_a_g_e_r(1M), a graphical management tool used to
            install, update, and remove nodelocked licenses.

          +o _l_s__n_l__l_i_c__e_n_t_r_y(1M), a utility program used by some SGI
            applications to automatically install nodelocked
            licenses.

       Note:  Packaged with this software is a separate sheet that
              contains the Software License Agreement.  This
              software is provided to you solely under the terms
              and conditions of the Software License Agreement.

       1.2  _O_n_l_i_n_e__R_e_l_e_a_s_e__N_o_t_e_s

       After you install the _l_i_c_e_n_s_e__e_o_e._m_a_n._r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s subsystem,
       you can view these release notes on your screen.

       If you have a graphics system, select ``Release Notes'' from
       the Tools submenu of the Toolchest. This displays the
       _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser for the online release notes.
       Select ``license_eoe'' from the Products menu to view these
       release notes.

       Refer to the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for information on
       options to this command.

       If you do not have a graphics system, you can use the
       _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s command. Refer to the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for
       accessing the online release notes.

       For example, to view the online version of this chapter of
       these release notes, type:
